Up and out of the house early this morning, making an early beer seem much later. Sunny day, 2 Crows on the patio.
4% abv Gose. Loads of flavor, not too sour. With all the flavors, the cask still manages to come through and sits

All’s not perfect though. A couple of not-so-great things about the brewery:
1) Too much head on the NE IPA. Every. Freakin’. Time. I’ve had better east coast IPAs.
2) Not enough carbonation on the Maestro Gose. Almost none.
3) Wish they would have stuck with the 2 Crows branding on all their beers including seasonals and limited editions.
4) Lactose in some beers.
5) Here, we have to wait until Sept for more.
What’s Oppo drinking?

Yuengling while grilling at the pool. It’s a beer flavored beer that tastes like beer.

I’ve heard of this one. It was sampled b y our liquor commission a few years ago to sell . Didn’t make it through though. A friend tried it and it’s all he could rave about.

Nothing yet, but I’m going to dinner with my mom and stepdad after a day of 4-wheeling with my dad. I’m planning to drink ALL the beers!

If you like Gose, try to get your hands on Beau’s “And Boom Gose the Dynamite”. I don’t know how long it’s been since they stopped brewing it, but there may still be some floating around out there. It’s wonderfully light and refreshing.

They’re currently selling a raspberry and rhubarb gose (which I haven’t tried yet) but it’s probably a bit heavy on the fruit, as many of their fruit beers are. If you like fruity, you’ll like this. https://beaus.ca/beer/de-berrys-treasure/
Update: I just checked and it looks like you can only get Lug Tread for the time being ( https://www.mynslc.com/en/products/Beer/Ale/Specialty%20Ale/1024009.aspx ) - it’s a great beer, too.

It’s good, though we haven’t had ‘the talk’ yet. A whole bunch of plans changed which meant I didn’t have a lot of time.
Also I didn't get to have a beer with dinner so I ended up getting some Spaten Oktoberfest at the store and I'm about to relax with that and listen to the rain.

Beau’s make some great stuff. A couple of years ago I tried their Bush Fire in a mixed pack. Since, I’ve looked for it regularly with no luck.
Speaking of rhubarb. Unibroue now has a Strawberry Rh ubarb W heat Ale . Creamy, p retty good.
